heaven

I don't really have any idea where today's post is going to go but I felt like writing so here goes..
I haven't taken many worthy snaps today but these ones from a few days ago sprung to mind and I thought I'd use them for this entrys pictures. My dressing table and clothes rail are my heaven. Set in my beautiful window they are exactly how I imagined I'd have my vanity, girly. They are me. The dressing table I purchased from Ikea myself last year, I'd seen it countless times and knew it was the one I wanted and would eventually get. I saved my pennies and made the splurge, spending £180 on this beauty, 180 well spent. I remember at the time being so proud to have earned the money and paid for it myself and I still am to this day. I spend a lot of money on clothes, makeup, beauty items.. the other day I thought to myself when it really boils down to it I earn that money, it is mine and to do with it what I choose. Sometimes I regret making big purchases or spending lots and other days I think what the heck I could be gone tomorrow. Aren't these the carefree years when I have only myself to look out for, I pay my monthly digs, but other than that I really have no bills or worries. So what is money, how should it be spent? At my age 'how I like' is the answer to that I reckon. Today I was thinking though and I've decided I need to start to spend less, and manage my spending more. This way I can end up with some savings to buy some dream items such as a perfect holiday or a Mac Book I have long lusted after. Savings would be lovely. Money I can get into when times get tough, or a friend or family member needs some support. It is time Sophie got more money savy, and for that reason I am going to start a money tracking journal and write down every single penny I spend from today onwards. I think it is also important to remember whilst on this subject however, how blessed I am and I'm sure how many of you reading this also are. I am comfortable, have a lovely home, a beautiful room that is mine, and a beautiful family. Everyday I have meals on the table and enough money to get me by. Others are not so lucky. I really do thank God everyday for the lovely life I am blessed with. x
