summer weather in march!

Hello everyone :) happy saturday!
The next few posts are going to be some pictures from the last week. Its been gloriously sunny here in Scotland, so I've been out enjoying it most days making the most of what will probably be our summer. The photos were taken on my friends camera so it took me a while to get a hold of them, but here they are! This first set is from a long walk we went on. Firstly we got some lunch at Dobbies the garden centre, I had mac cheese and chips, delicious! My outfit was some basic jeans, a basic white tee, black dolly shoes and a brown leather jacket. Not forgetting my zara bag, cutest bag ever. My necklace is costume rosary beads from Primark and my sunglasses are from h&m. I had to put in a few daft pictures, loving my cheesy grin in the second. I was clearly taking a new approach to snapping my outfit in the second last, looking 'gid' haha!

Have a nice weekend everyone, love sophie x

a few little things

Hello everyone :) Apologies for my lack of posts this past week, I started a new job and things have been rather hectic. I'm loving it though, and really happy and content at the moment.

These are a few pictures of some things I've snapped recently, I've not had my camera on me all that often tbh so sorry for the lack of excitement. The first picture was my breakfast about a week ago, a morning cup of tea and a cupcake, why not. Although I must admit it was rather sickly for 10am! Then some items I snapped up yesterday. I popped into paperchase and bought this gorgeous notebook, plus a couple of my all time favourite style of pens. And who can resist some novelty stickers!? We visited a museum and I love a museum shop, managed to snap up a few cool pieces of kids jewellery, egyption style. 2 gorgeous bangles and isn't that pin badge too cool? I also just had to pick up 'Blue My Mind' nail polish by H&M, excuse the dreadful nails in the picture above.. I never allow enough time for my nails to dry and they always turn out a disaster! But the colour is stunning, a hype on youtube. Plus I picked up a fashionista blusher, I finally found them in store. Soon I shall get three more, and place them in a palette. Anyway, it's time to cut this epically long post. But I've missed blogging. Promise I'm back.

happy tuesday

Hi everyone :) My day has been awesome. I've been sorting out lots of little things because I'm starting a new job tomorrow which I'm super excited about! In between my errands I filmed an outfit of the day video, which is currently saving, then to be uploaded this evening to youtube. I also went on a walk to morrisons as it was a beautiful, sunny day! Here is what I picked up. Some gorgeous flowers for the vase on my dressing table, they were only £2.. the kind of money I'd spend on a little bunch just to add a touch of decoration. I had to pick up some chips and dips, total addict. I eat them weekly even though I know how bad they are! I love the little trio of humous, its my fave. 'What do you call cheese that's not your cheese? NATcho cheeseee!' I love that joke. The nacho cheese is also pretty darn tasty. Finally a few DVDs I picked up, I always pick up a dvd. Can never resist. I'm still a Notting Hill virgin, even although it's a classic and A Streetcar Named Desire is a fantastic film, from an even more fantastic piece of literature.

mothers day

Hey everyone :) happy maws day!
My mother had a wee blast, breckers in bed, followed by presents in bed, followed by scrabble in bed, then a relaxing afternoon with a lovely home cooked meal to look forward to cooked by my fantastic sister and I! That is the final three pictures.. the hotpot lamb stew we created, and the mushroom soup which had literally.the.best.flavours.ever. I could have eaten it all day. Don't forget the wine, the most essential ingredient and a little glass really helps to relax whilst cooking!

The first two pictures are of my outfit from a school themed party I attended last night, we were '2 cool for school' and had a blast! I love a geek dress up session every now and then. Plus pigtails are damn cute, I really should wear them more often. My outstanding piece however was my hello kitty candy watch from primark, how amazing! The best £3 I've ever spent. Reckon I'm gonna go back for the Dora Explorer one. I hope you all had a lovely weekend and spoiled your mummys

damon is the sexiest vampire

Hey everyone :) Happy Saturday!
This morning I'm uploading this '15 Questions Tag' to youtube and just decided I'd write a little blog post on it also, seen as the questions are rather interesting! I didn't have any pictures so this is a screen shot of me from when I was editing the video, getting rather excited about my love for Damon from the vampire diaries. Oaft, that is all. Anyway, enjoy!

1. What do you think you can do but can't?
-Sing to some extent. We must be able to psychologically persuade ourselves that at times we are in tune, when the majority of the time I really am not hehe!

2. What's a difficult word for you to pronounce?
Sandwich, I say sangwich.. crisps, I say criss.. and escalator, I say esculator.. I guess the first two could just be lazyness. :)

3. What is a favorite TV show from your childhood?
-Mona the Vampire and The Chuckle Brothers, too good!

4. What are your virtues and vices?
-A virtue I believe I have is kindness, I reckon I think about other peoples feelings a lot of the time. A vice is definately jealousy, I'm not excessively jealous but at times I feel myself getting a little worked up!

5. What's more important: love, fame, power, or money?
-Silly question? Love, that is all. Love is the best thing in our world, we wouldn't be in existence without it.

6. If you could live in any era/time period, when would it be and why?
-The 60's it was hellova awesome! The makeup was phenominal, pale faces with dramatic eyes and nude lips. A statement look that we still wear to this day. And those hairstyles, who couldn't love a beehive? The style was pretty damn cool also.

7. If you had to redo your entire wardrobe with 2 stores, what would they be and why?
-H&M. Fantastic basics, and just a good affordable store with stylish pieces.
-Zara. Amazing, my favourite store. I adore it. Really out there pieces which are chic and elegant.

8. Can you recall what you were doing a year ago on this day?
-Not exactly, but I was through in Glasgow studying at University. So in Glasgow, perhaps.

9. Do you have reoccurring dreams? If so, explain?
-Yes I do. One with a giant. He is stomping into town and I'm trying to find a hiding place but everywhere I go to hide has already been taken and people tell me to get lost. I end up standing alone, crying and the giant gets me. :(

10. What's your horoscope?
-Scorpio. I have a sting in my tail.

11. What does your dream bedroom look like?
-Mine? However with painted walls and a bookcase, I haven't got round to those two yet! Oh and some lovely new bedsheets.

12. What position do you sleep in?
-On my tummy, always.

13. Who is your favorite vampire of all time?
-Damon from Vampire Diaries, he is the sexiest man on this planet. I really genuenly have the biggest crush on him ever, Oaft!

14. What are you currently wearing on your feet?
Polka dot bed sockies, just up!

15. Do you have neat handwriting?
Kind of.... neat when I want to be :)

Have a fantastic weekend.

curly locks

Hello Everyone :) This is a snapshot of my hair after filming my '5 Minute Volume Curls' tutorial which can be found at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKBMD8aLvmQ It's a hairstyle I wear frequently, normally every second day. Simple, easy, but looks very put together! Basically I use a hair straightener to create the curls, and finish off with some products to ensure it stays in place all day. I love my long, curly locks and this will be a fantastic look for the soon to be spring/summer in Scotland!

How do you curl your hair?

oufit of the day

Hello everyone :) Yesterday my friend Chris and I went for a big epic walk around a loch not far from where we stay. Although it was a somewhat dull day it was a beautiful walk and Chris managed to get some half decent shots! It's great just to get out and get fresh air in your lungs, a long walk makes you feel 10x better. Afterwards we parked up in a lovely scenic area nearby and went for a hot chocolate in a lovely cafe/restaurant, it was very relaxing and warmed us up after our cold walk! You'll recognise a few items from my last post, my collective haul. I wore the crochet, peter pan collar style top and my gorgeous snake skin cobalt blue bag. Paired with some skinny jeans, a black coat and my london rebel boots. A cute little outfit.
Happy Thursday Everyone! :)

love of spring nails

Good morning everyone :)
I have been obsessed with nail polish recently. I don't know quite what has gotten into me to be honest! Nail polish was never really my thing, I mean I enjoyed it and would wear it on a night out or a special occasion, but I definately didn't have to be wearing it daily. However now I do. When my nails are blank I feel blank. Nail polish is definately a fantastic way to express how you're feeling. So last night my nails needed re-painted as the polish was chipped and haggart looking, and this is what I came up with. I didn't want just one of these nail polishes I wanted all five. So each finger got a different colour and I LOVE IT. My nails make me smile, how sad but true. You must excuse the dire state of my nails, they have never been my best asset and I don't take good care of them at all, maybe one day the condition of them will matter more to me. The bottom picture gives you all the names if you are interested. I highly recommend Topshop's 'Pool Party' it's a beautiful bluey, green and will not dissapoint, plus goes on like a treat. The one you cannot make out by Barry M is 'Mint Green', looks literally how it appears.
So go on get creative with your nails girls, you'll be left with a cheesy grin!

Marks and Spencer, Brown Leather Jacket £59

Marks and spencer, Vintage Style Dress £39.99

Hello everyone :) Well I do love a shop. All the items above are recent purchases, they couldn't make me any happier. For a long while now, say a year, I've been really into makeup products and I guess neglecting fashion to some extent. And whilst I still adore makeup, I feel I have enough now and a nice amount and that I should be spending more money on fashion items. Clothes are good, they make me happy. I love those spring button up shirts, there was a mint green also however they didn't have it in my size :( I need to go back for it! Isn't that Topshop bag to die for!? My summer go-to bag I reckon, a beautiful colour. The leather jacket has to be one of my favourite purchases, a timeless classic, more appropriate than my black leather jacket for wearing over items in the summer. And lastly that vintage style dress, its amazing. I promise the first time I wear it I will post an outfit of the day, it looks too pretty not to.

sneak peak

Hello everyone :) here is a little sneak preview of my spring collective haul that is coming soon. I went on a little shopping spree the other day, and picked up some button-up pastel coloured shirts that are gorgeous! Along with some jewellery pieces and this beautiful bag.. Isn't it just amazing!? It was a Topshop purchase, and cost me £25 but I know it will be well used over the summer, coming on almost every night out with me. It's also going to be perfect for my summer holiday. A strap is included inside. The top above that was bought for me by my mum, and it's stunning! It will be perfect over a white tank top, with some little denim shorts and golden tanned legs. I cannot wait for the summer!

Liz Earle Cleanser Review

Hello everyone :) Finally it is time for my Liz Earle skincare review. Yippeee!
I'm going to try my best to keep this short and sweet, a quick summary of what I think of the product.
So first of all you can purchase the Starter Kit (100ml Cleanser + 2 Muslin Cloths) for £14.25. I would advise you purchase them online purely because you get some free sample goodies, happy days! :D You can see them in the picture above, on my first order I recieved the 'Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic' which is lovely. Then on my second order the 'Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser'. So yes, you have to pay postage and packacking at around £3, however look what you get in return.. Carrying on with the cleanser, a larger tube will cost you £24, this is a 200ml bottle that does not come with a pump! Sadly that is a huge issue for me.

I have tried this cleanser for two months now, here is my opinion.

Pros:
1. Leaves my skin with a glow it has never had before, non-shiny but my face is fresh looking and beautifully healthy.
2. I can tell it is working wonders for my skin, and I reckon used over a long period of time would prevent wrinkles and keep my skin youthful!
3. The creme product itself is fantastic. Thoroughly removes my makeup, smells gorgeous, leaves my skin baby soft to touch. I feel like I have never worn makeup.
4. The muslin cloth is genius, removes every inch of grime.

Cons:
1. The cleanser is expensive. Not for all with that in mind. On my second purchase £26 (including postage) for a 200ml bottle seemed a little steep to me!
2. The cleanser really didn't help my acne prone skin at all. It didn't worsen it, but there was no improvements despite me hearing that it helped clear up other peoples pimples.
 3. The 200ml tube did not come with a pump. Dissapointing Liz Earle for anyone unsure of how much to take, I even find myself using far too much on sleepy mornings!

a little thursday outfit

Hello everyone :) I'm in bed right now, contemplating what to do with my day, but its absolutely glorious outside. I'm sitting enjoying a morning cup of tea and I thought what the heck lets write a little blog post. I was intending on writing every day for the month of March but clearly that has already gone out the window.. things have been exciting recently so I guess I've just been busy. I'll share my exciting news with you all shortly :) Today there is lots of things I need to do, it's always the same though and you find yourself asking 'where do I start?'

Here is an outfit from thursday, when my mum and I had a lovely girly day shopping. I've been a skirt girl for the past year or so, but just recently I've been putting my jeans on more often. I guess I just got bored. Quite a casual outfit but I loved it, plus had to fling on my London Rebel boots as they are pretty much the best investment I have ever made. Love those babies.

Well, time to get on. Today really is a lovely today so I'll no doubt snap some pictures. Until tomorrow... hopefully :)

collective haul

Hello everyone :) This is a collective haul of little bits 'n bobs I've picked up recently. My mum and I had a girly shopping day on Thursday and headed to a big furniture store called Sterling. It also does lots of home decor pieces, so I snapped up this gorgeous print for my room and a beautiful, very feminine, glass candle holder. Aren't they stunning? Also that day we popped into Debenhams, where I purchased some black bow dolly shoes for work. The tennis style casual shoes were from Primark, for £3! Recently I have been obsessed with Topshop Nail Polishes, picking up three in the colours Pool party, Forget Me Not and hidden Treasure (L-R) I was also in need of a good foundation and loved the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation so went for this Healthy Mix 'Serum'. What is the difference? I shall find out.. super excited to try it. Lastly are a couple of pictures of some DVDs and a book that I recently ordered off amazon. Julia Roberts is Erin Brokovich is amazing, I highly suggest you check it out, and Coco Before Channel for fashion lovers! The Hunger Games I have heard so much about, I cannot wait to delve into a great read before the film comes out in March.
Have you picked up any nice goodies recently?
