a week of bliss

This past week I had one of the best holidays I've had in a long time. Pure relaxtion. No facebook, limited texting, and just a best friend. 6 blissful days of exploring and having nothing to think about but our plans for each day. The beautiful places we would visit, the food we would eat and the fire we would burn later that evening. It felt good. I thought I'd share with you some pictures of my adventure. The top two show the contrast in weather, the left our campsite at Northampton last weekend, beautiful sunshine T-shirt weather. The second our visit to Loch Lomond in Scotland later on in the week, not sunshine by any means but the rain stayed off and that was good enough for me. The scenery was incredible and it made me realise how proud I am to be from Scotland. It's a country and a half. Company, the best magazine Ever. The cheesiest smile going, but the best, warmest fire ever. An afternoon of sunshine, a book and a Kopparberg (strawberry and lime is the bestestestest.) Finally, a brew by the fire. It was worth it even with that cold, dark trip to the toilet well past midnight.

Sometimes it's good just to get away, forget about the familiarities of life, just live and breathe, do and see things you haven't seen before, life for the moment the hour, the second of every single day.
