evening outfit

My bargain playsuit, I picked this bad boy up from Marks and Spencer in their end of line sale for £1! I Know!! I think its gorgeous, so feminine and mature but very girly at the same time. It is also very comfortable which is important for me on a night out. I felt really confident in this outfit and thats when I know the style is really me. I was no doubt wearing it with a big cheeser!

These were my accessories. My Zara T-Bar wedge platforms (super comfy girls! I even managed the 20 minute walk home from the station to my house!) My bag in a newby from H&M for £12.99, I really am in love with it. I wore this gorgeous bracelet from H&M, I am loving the chain trend at the minute where jewellery is concerned. The little triangle necklace was also an H&M buy.

Nails were Topshop's 'Gone Fishing'.. I AM OBSESSED with this colour. If you haven't already go get your hands on it. Also, you may notice how long my nails are getting.. I finally have the willpower to grow them and it feels good, I love the way they look that little bit longer!

So that is all, I hope you are all having a lovely weekend :)

a makeup look for under £20

This post is about my £20 Makeup Tag that I've recently uploaded to youtube, you can check that out on my channel which is www.youtube.com/sophiekinnzz

1. Natural Collection Concealer Stick in Fair, £1.99
Pretty Average I must admit, a product I will not buy again. It had a reasonably creamy consistency and blended well however the colour selection was so poor that this was far too light for me.

2. Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation, £5.99
I actually really enjoyed this product and am going to try it out in my normal everyday makeup routine tomorrow. It went on very well and blended fantastically with just my fingers. I wasn't sure if the colour was going to match however it was perfect, really similar to my skin colour at the minute. The product seemed lovely and had a beautiful matte finish. I'm definately going to give this a go.

3. Elf Eye Shadow Brush, £1.50
A great brush for applying shadow all over the lid, a staple in any makeup collection, very affordable and accessable to most. Go get it!

4. Elf Brightening Eye Quad in 'Day to Night', £1.50
These Brightening Eye Quads are a great value product and there is amazing selection of colours however they just do not compare to the other eyeshadows in my collection. They are great if you don't have a lot of money to spend and would like to experiment but other than that not so much. I reckon I'll be sticking to my Naked 1 + 2, they are amazing.

5. MUA Felt Eyeliner for £2
A really nice liquid liner for the price. Easy to work with, glides on well after a good shake or two and seemed to last a long amount of time. If you want an affordable felt tip liner then definately check this one out!

6. Miss Sporty Mascara, £1.99
A lovely mascara for the price, does lots to the lashes and I would really recommend this product if you don't want to spend too much on your mascara. You might also want to check out the Natural Collection mascara as it retails for £1.99 and is great for the price.

7. Natural Collection Lipstick in Rose Bud, £1.99
I highly recommend that if you are in the UK and haven't already checked these out that you do, they are amazing for the price. Rose Bud is a beautiful colour and a favourite in my collection. However, it can become quite drying quite quickly so some gloss over the top might be a good idea. They have an amazing variety of colours in the range.

8. Finally, last but by no means least is my NYC Nail Varnish
This is from their most recent collection (I cannot for the life of me remember what is is called, sorry!) but it is in the colour 'Lincoln Square Lavender' and at the minute is retailing for £1.79. This is a beautiful nail varnish and for the price is a lovely addition to any collection.

beauty haul - elf, urban decay, fashionista

Yesterday I recieved in the post my order from eyeslipsface.com. I'm always super excited about it because it's really the only place online where if I place an order the full thing will be makeup -however that soon could be Topshop, I'm in need of my next fix from their makeup range! I spent around £22 and picked up some things that had been on my wish list for a while. First of the Contouring Blush and Bronzer Powder, which on first impressions seems amazing and I know I'll get lots of wear out of it. It has been compared to Nars Laguna Bronzer, and also their Orgasm blush but I have neither of them so unfortunately cannot comment. I guess the shades are similar. I then picked up the Elf Blemish Powder, which I'd had my eyes on for a while as I saw it featured in one of Dulce Candy's videos.. plus I have acne so anything that could potentially help with that is a must for me. Then I got the Mineral Eyeshadow Primer, which is lovely and after using today has kept my eyeshadow on, even on this hot summer day! I got one of the Matte Lip Colours, the colour natural, but to be honest on first impressions I'm not a huge fan. The formula is nothing like I imagined and the colour is bleuuugh. Then I got some basic cuticle pushers, and also when I placed the order if you spent over £10 you were getting a free nail polish.. the colour chosen for me was 'Mint Cream' and it looks lovely!

Then there is some other products that I've got my hands on recently. The famous 'Naked 2' palette by Urban Decay which is amazing and I'm SO excited to have it and try out lots of different looks. Also OPI's Nail Envy to help strengthen my nails which I intend to grow and some lovely Fashionista Blushes plus also the palette to hold them in. I cannot wait to fill the four areas these blushes are amazing, so pigmented, beautiful colours and best of all £4 each!!

Sorry for the ramble, I had lots to say. Love Sophie xo

all about nails

Well, I have decided I'm growing my nails. I'm sick of my hands looking like a teenage boys would. They are so unfeminine and to be honest my hands aren't exactly a strong point of mine anyway, so it really is about time. I don't dislike them, but my fingers are stumpy and my hands are overly wrinkly, its creepy. Plus I have a really olive complexion and for some reason this means that when I get a tan on my hands it looks as if I haven't washed them in weeks. So where I'm going with all this is I'm attempting to present my hands/nails in the best possible way I can. I am using an amazing hand cream, which has already made my hands noticably smoother and my nails are also gonna get taken care of! So, as you can see from the picture above I've invested in OPI's 'Nail Envy' to get them strengthened and good to 'grow', get the pun.. probably not, my jokes suck. I promise after using it how instructed for a few weeks there will be a full review posted about my feelings on the product. But I'm excited, I've heard great things about it and I hope this is the boost my nails need to stay strong and not fall apart with any touch. I have thyroid problems, and low iron so these symptoms generally contribute to that.. but yeah, in the picture I've included some more nail polishes I've picked up recently as they are GID. Topshop's 'Gone Fishing', 'Awol' and Maybelline's 'Lilac Charm'. Awol is by far a favie from me, a stunning blue similar in colour to H&M's 'Blue my Mind' and Sally Hansen's 'Pacific Blue'. I've also picked up some cuticle pushers in my most recent elf order so they will quickly be introduced into my routine, as you can see from the picture my nail beds SUCK.

How do'u keep your nails in tip top condition?
