new purchases

Hello everyone :)
Today I have a few pictures of some items I picked up yesterday. How. Gorgeous. Are. Those. Shoes. Yes, I know you've probably seen them a hundred times as they are popular on youtube and blogs at the minute, however I can see why. Chic, elegant, comfortable and so versatile. I could throw these on with some jeans and a T for say a cinema trip, or pair them up with a dress and nude tights as I am doing this evening for a night out. Pictures of my full outfit will no doubt be up tomorrow. Anyway back to the shoes. £29.99, hello bargain. A stunning pair of shoes for such a fantastic price. The second picture is my first brush purhcase from the Samantha Chapman line, the 'stippling brush.' I picked it up from boots for £11.99. It will get its first use this evening, I sure hope it's worth the hype. If so I'll be running back to the shops to purchase the core collection which includes the ever-famous 'buffing brush.'

Happy weekend everyone, have fun! Love sophie x

easter dress

Hello everyone :) I hope you are well and are having a lovely day/evening whatever the time is where you are! These are some pictures of the oufit I wore to our easter meal last weekend, I can't believe it was nearly a week ago already and I apologise for not sharing them sooner!

Every year we go to the same restaurant with all of my dad's side of the family and have a lovely afternoon meal, its nice to catch up and for us all to be together as that's rare. I wanted this years outfit to be spring like and almost easter looking and I think this dress does exactly the job! The vintage print is stunning, the colours are vibrant and the black panelling on the chest area and hips is beautiful. Such a classy, elegant dress. Of course I had to pair it with some nude heels and simple jewellery. I love how the brown leather jacket gives the dress an edgy feel. All the items are M&S, limited collection, and they were bought recently so you should still be able to get your hands on them.. if not in store then online! The final picture is a flan that my brothers girlfriend made, it was delicious! A traditional, polish speciality. Next to it some delicious chocolate eggs!
I hope you all had a wonderful easter time.

picnics and palaces

Hello everyone :) These are some pictures showing you how I spent my Friday, a lovely start to the weekend. It was still a pretty day, but colder with a breeze so a knitted cardigan was in order. This one I got from Miss Selfridge last spring, and I still get lots of wear out of it. A timeless classic, perfect for pairing over almost any outift. I wore my basic jeans, some gladiator sandals and a top I got from Primark not too long ago, with a peter pan style collar. We sat on a bench at a Palace we visited and had an epic picnic. Vegetable pasta, fruit, crisps and cheese strings... which are possibly the best creation EVER. We then took a little walk, but it was chilly so we didn't stay too long!
I hope you all had a lovely weekend, Monday has come around again and the working week begins. Roll on next weekend.

pastels + sunshine

Hello everyone :)
It's 9.20am on a Sunday morning, why am I up this early!? I'm just extremely grateful that this morning I've woken up hangover free. These are a collection of pictures from a day out on wednesday last week, where a friend and I visited Edinburgh for the day. It was glorious weather, even though it clouded over slightly when we visited the rooftop terrace (the picture of a windswept me, with the castle in the backround) Finally, by about 4 o'clock I had my brown leather jacket on. The only item you cannot see in this post as it was in Chris' bag for the majority of the day! I tied my h&m collar shirt at the waist, paired it with my favourite jeans and dug out a really old pair of sandals. They were bought from River Island at least 2 years ago and are still going strong. You can tell they are old because River Island is a place I would never visit nowadays.. My Topshop bag makes an appearance, my h&m shades + necklace and a few random jewellery accessories bought on the day. Some egyption style bangles bought from the museum and that adorable decorative pin. We had a lovely day, ate at a gorgeous Italian restaurant on the Grassmarket and ate icecream in the sun.
